A couple of years ago I put together a colorful Dr. Seuss Sleeping accommodation for my son. He has loved it, but in the final two years he has developed a new obsession: POKEMON!! His grandma made him an awesome Pokemon quilt and cube cushion just considering she spoils him, and I made him the Pokemon card pennant banners every bit decorations for his Pokemon Birthday Party. I was thinking about those things, forth with his Pokemon stuffed animal collection, and I decided that for his altogether I was going to surprise him by transforming his room from a Dr. Seuss bedchamber into a Pokemon bedroom. This gift was a Hitting!
Hither is the quilt that started it all. Isn't it THE CUTEST?!?!?!?! My mother-in-constabulary is freaky-talented and freaky-generous. She spoils us rotten!! She also fabricated him the incredible, detailed cube/cushion/seat. Information technology'south the flop. PERFECT for his Pokemon bedroom!
(Ash Ketchum hat and Pokebelt found Here, past the way.) I used my mother-in-law's leftover fabric and made some new lively pillow covers, a new window valence, and fabric covered mini bulletin boards. Check it out . . .
If yous'd like to sew pillows this style check out the tutorial HERE. I am a big ric-rac fan. It makes all projects seem more than unique.
If you are looking for the stuffed animals for your Pokemon bedroom, then Amazon.com is your friend! Here is where I got them:
- Large Laughing Pikachu
- Sandile Plush
- Treecko Plush
- Meowth Plush
To make the large name to go on the wall in a higher place the bed I bought individual wooden messages at Hobby Vestibule. I spray painted them red, wrapped some washi record around them in various ways, and glued push button pins to the dorsum of the letters and so I could push button them into the wall and they would stay. Very like shooting fish in a barrel.
To make these small, round bulletin boards you will need round, cork trivets from Ikea, Pokemon material, and a hot glue gun. You lot'll be washed in no time! Yous can notice the full tutorial HERE.
The window valance is substantially a really long tube. You can find the total tutorial HERE. It'due south very simple to brand, but information technology definitely gives the room a polished, finished bear upon.
At present let's look at some other parts of the Pokemon bedroom. I thing I made was this large Pikachu art, which, quite frankly, I am totally obsessed with! I got all of the Pokemon cards HERE. They're and so affordable that I'm not convinced they are "real," but, quite frankly, my son doesn't know the difference, and I don't intendance! Haha. HERE IS A TUTORIAL FOR MAKING THE PIKACHU WALL ART.
Cuuuuute, right?? Way easier to brand than you think, too! I also used the aforementioned Pokemon Cards to make the pennant banners.
Equally you can see, this side of the room is defended to building and creating. Aside from the things I have already pointed out to you, you can run into a framed sketch that he made of some of his favorite Pokemon characters, his binder of Pokemon Cards, and a peek into his closet, which is really a secret reading nook that is as well busy in a Pokemon theme.
Would you like to get a closer look at his Pokemon themed reading nook? It includes a Pikachu stuffed animal, one of the cheery ric rac pillows, Pokemon hanging decorations leftover from his birthday party, and Pokemon character skin and stick wall stickers.
I wish I had a better movie of the cupboard. Sorry about that. I would like to show y'all a closer picture of the pic hanging adjacent to the cupboard, though!
This is one of my favorite things in the room. Information technology consists of a collage of cards that I made similar to the one I did in THIS tutorial. I used THESE cards to make the collage frame. They are all framing a giant "Callum Pokemon Carte" that I made using THIS free website!
Here is the last section of room to see. His colorful Dr. Seuss dresser, combined with books, pictures from his Pokemon Birthday Political party, and a fun Pikachu Bank.
Thank you for taking the time to cheque out our Pokemon Bedchamber! I hope you love information technology as much as we do! At present become play some PokemonGO and take a great day! 😉
